Educational reformers, sociologists, and innovative thinkers have dealt with and pondered the problems and effects that come when class and education meet. They have been discussing this issue for decades, trying to understand it, evaluate it, and potentially fix it. This website is meant to be a brief highlight on a topic as broad, complicated, and complex as this one. By looking at this issue from multiple perspectives, that of a historical view, a pedagogical view, and a funding view, and articulating it with regard to various populations that it affects, such as immigrants, rural students, and high-class, middle-class and low-class students, this website will give a glimpse into this often ignored and complex issue.

Purpose:

This website is meant to simply highlight and outline some of the major perspectives, viewpoints, arguments, and groups affected by class in the educational system. As such a complex issue, this website could not possibly encompass all the necessary information, but with resources for further study, references to important figures, and major research on this topic, this website will serve as a springboard to delve into such a complicated situation.
